Read more about the new interface or see help for the previous interface. Known IssuesBelow is a list of recent AdSense known issues and possible work-arounds. Please know we are working quickly to resolve these issues and appreciate your patience. Some payments to the Middle East and North Africa Delayed Details: Shipment operations in Libya have been completely suspended, so there will be no payments delivered until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience, and are working to get payments to you as soon as possible. Some payments to Japan Delayed Details: Given the recent events in Japan, some payments are delayed or temporarily stopped, particularly in the areas most severely hit by the earthquake and tsunami. Message for Unauthorized Sites Persists on Homepage Details: When using the authorized sites feature, any sites that you haven't authorized will trigger an alert message on your home page. We currently consider any framed or cached pages to be unauthorized, including when a user searches using Google Images and your site is displayed via frame. We encourage you to add framed and cached URLs of sites you trust to your authorized sites list. We're investigating ways to improve this feature. DFP channels & ad units not available in new interface Details: For publishers using DFP Small Business & AdSense, the new interface will no longer display reporting data for DFP channels and ad units as of March 1st, 2011. These earnings have been removed from the new AdSense interface because the corresponding reports were showing invalid statistics in various cases. More specifically, changes in DFP led to some impressions, clicks, and earnings not being included in AdSense channels & ad units reports. The statistics could also be inconsistent, such as ad impressions showing up but ad requests. Status for Custom search engines is 'inactive' Details: In both new and old interfaces, active search engines incorrectly appear as 'inactive'. We are aware of this issue and investigating. Abnormal CTR & RPM for some reports Details: Keep in mind that not all ad requests lead to a page view. If there are several ad units for the same product on the page, only the first ad unit will generate a page view. When viewing particular reports at the 'page views' level, you may notice an unusually low number of page views, resulting in high page CTR and page RPM. To best analyze your performance for reports that experience this behavior, we recommend using the 'ad requests' level metrics. To change the metrics shown, click on the 'Columns' button above the graph. Coverage very low for link units Details: If you are using link units, you may see a very low number for the coverage stat shown in the new interface. Coverage is the ratio of returned ad requests to all ad requests. For link units, we track matched ad requests based on the ads results page. This artificially lowers the coverage metric for publishers who are using link units significantly on their pages. We are looking into resolving this issue so that the coverage stat is more accurate for pubs using link units. Incorrect message on payments page regarding finalized earnings Details: Publishers who were not issued a payment in the prior month may see a message on their payments page that suggests they still have not crossed the payment threshold, even if they have. This is because the message is appearing at the beginning of a month, prior to earnings being finalized around the 10th of the month. This message could be incorrect, so you should wait until earnings have been finalized before checking to see if you have crossed the payment threshold in the previous month. Example: In November, your finalized earnings reached $80 (below the $100 payment threshold), so you were not issued a payment. In December, you earned another $80, so have $160 in your account and will be eligible for payment once the earnings are finalized. At the beginning of January, you may see a note on your payments page that says you have not reached the payments threshold, and will not be paid. This is incorrect, and once the earnings are finalized around January 10, you will see an updated message containing correct information. My earnings are lower in the new interface than in the old interface Details: The new interface is not reporting earnings from all AdSense products quite yet. If you find that your earnings appear to be lower in the new interface than in the old one, it may be because you are using a product which is not passing earnings information to the new interface. Note that this only pertains to estimated earnings, and that finalized earnings will match in the two interfaces. YouTube is currently one of the products with earnings that are not reflected in the new interface. Our engineers are working diligently to get all earnings displayed in the new interface. PIN Generation Request Returns Error Message Details: Some publishers are unable to request a duplicate PIN mailer in their accounts. After verifying their addresses, publishers are getting an error message and no option to proceed. As the message states, our engineers are aware of the issue and are working to resolve it. Workaround: New PIN requests in the old interface are being processed correctly. Please switch back to the old interface if you need to request a new PIN. You can do this by following the link in the top right corner of the screen. Why does the interface show more impressions than the old one? Details: The home page on the new interface is showing ad unit impressions, whereas the old interface shows page views. The actual impressions are actually the same, so please ensure you're comparing the same metrics in each interface. Resolution: Based on user feedback, we have switched the default metric in the new interface to page views. The information in the two interfaces will be the same now. Ad Review Center showing old advertisements Details: Some publishers saw ad groups appearing in the ad review center with broken links or ones that lead to nonexistent landing pages. This lasted from approximately November 2 - 8, 2010 and was caused by a change in the back end correlated to the rollout of the new interface. The issue was limited to the review center, and these ads did not show on any publisher sites. The issue has since been resolved. AFS code generation issues Details: Some publishers attempting to generate the AdSense for Search code in their AdSense accounts are seeing an error message when clicking on the button "Submit and Get Code" at the last step of the process. This message says: "Error while trying to save your AdSense for Search settings. Please try again later." Workaround: If you need to generate code for a search engine immediately, you can do this from Google's Custom Search Engine site. Once you've created a custom search engine, you can monetize it with AdSense for search ads by clicking on the "Make Money" link on the left hand side of the Custom Search Engine control panel and associating your new search engine with your AdSense account. You can find more detailed instructions here. Don't see your issue listed above?
